Turbine uses my 6 1/2" template available here. Cutting up a quilt block that you’ve just made can be scary! One day I found myself with a stack of old blocks that I just couldn’t throw away. I started cutting them up and what I found was after the first five, it wasn’t a big deal! The Turbine quilt is a wonderful scrap buster. The scrappy pie pieces mingle with pops of solid turbine blades that dramatically criss cross each block.  With three different fabric options, you can create a super scrappy version with 120 different fabrics, a moderately scrappy version with 30 different prints,  and a clean and simple version with 20 different fabrics.
